Venue

Welcome to OSS Barcamp. We decided to run a another themed barcamp this year in Dublin, taking place on Saturday 19th September which is also Software Freedom Day.

It’s taking place at DIT Kevin Street Campus here in Dublin, thanks to Deirdre Lawless for all of her help. You can see by the map it’s very central.

So who should come. Well everyone really, there are different levels of talks at the event, and we would encourage lots of Q&A so everyone gets as much information from it as they can.

Why you should come? To meet more people and interact, and put faces to names. There aren’t that many Open Source events here in Ireland and we should look to change that, by participating and promoting open source events.

We have three lecture rooms set aside for the event which can hold up to 70 people in each room. Talk should be about 30 – 40 minuets and can be less if you just want it to be a brief over view on what you are working on or are interested in, followed by discussion. I also have 8 Lightning sessions if people are interested.

So remember, Saturday 19th September 2009, 9:30am – 4:30pm, hopefully we’ll do something afterwards! Stay tuned or why not follow us on Twitter
